On March 26th a stray kitten was found on Crawfordville Hwy near Publix. She was a 4 month old female black and white kitten. We named her Fettuccine. She had obviously suffered some trauma, as the distal 3⁄4 of her tail was dead (black hard skin, exposed bone with maggot infection). We gave her an estimated DOB of 12-26-18. She needed surgery for that tail for sure. She had that surgery performed 3-29-19. Unfortunately she developed an infection at the surgery site and had another surgery to place a drain and clean up the wound 4-1-19. At that time, it was also noted that her pelvis seemed not quite right. Xrays showed old injuries to her pelvis (luxation of her right hip joint) as well as old fracture/luxation of her right hock. Those leg issues will result in chronic pain for her, so once Fettuccine recovered from her tail amputation she had her right rear leg amputated. This little girl has had a lot of surgery, but not she is on the mend. She is negative for Feline leukemia and FIV, is spayed, microchipped and is completed with her kitten vaccines. Now she just needs a home to call her own.
