On 4-30-20 a very ill 7 lb 10 week old black female Terrier mix (maybe some Miniature Schnauzer in her?) was brought to Northwood on emergency. The owners had gotten her 3 weeks prior as a gift and she had not been to the vet yet. She presented for vomiting, not eating and having bloody diarrhea. She tested positive for Parvo virus. The puppy was relinquished to receive aggressive treatment. Her name is Kona. Kona improved after a few days of intravenous fluids and medications. Kona has been released from Parvo quarantine, is
progressing through her puppy vaccines and has been spay and microchipped. She is ready for a new home.
