On 3-30-24 Northwood Animal Hospital got a panicked call.  A woman had just gotten a kitten from the flea market and noticed he was missing some hair on his side.  She Googled and read about ringworm.  She had young children at home so she was not willing to take home a kitten that might give her kids an infectious disease.  She brought the kitten to Northwood and relinquished him.  The lesion on his side was suspicious for ringworm and responded well to treatment.  He was also treated for the intestinal parasite coccidia. We named him Bagheera.  His estimate DOB is 2-15-24.  Bagheera’s skin has healed, he is negative for FeLV and FIV, has been neutered and microchipped  and is progressing through his vaccines.  He is ready for his forever home.
