On Dec. 7, 2024, 2 very ill Chihuahua puppies were brought to Northwood Animal Hospital on emergency.  They had parvo.  The owner had other puppies at home too-they could not manage the treatment of these puppies.  They relinquished the puppies to Northwood for care.   Both are male, black and tans, est DOB 8-1-24.  We named one Blitzen, the other Vixen.

Blitzen responded quickly to treatment and was eating on his own again within 2 days.  Vixen took a bit longer-he required aggressive treatment for 5 days before he was eating on his own.  Both pups are doing well now. They were treated for hookworms and are progressing through their vaccines.  They have been neutered and microchipped.

They are finally healthy enough to be adopted.  They are 5 months old now and only weigh 5-6lbs.
