On Jan 22nd a stray kitten (Black DSH Male, est DOB 9-28-19) was brought to Northwood Animal Hospital. He was found on W. Call Street injured, not using his left rear leg. Radiographs showed a fracture of the head of his femur on the left rear leg. We initially named this kitten Cleocatra, but then discovered she was a he. So now his name is Leocatra. The plan was to perform an FHO to removed the fractured femoral head so he could use the leg comfortably, but the fracture healed on it’s own and he uses the leg just fine. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is ready to go to a home. Leocatra was adopted in April. However, due to a serious illness in his owner, he was returned to CARE in July. Leocatra is available for adoption again.
