On Nov. 7th an injured stray kitten was brought to Northwood on emergency.  He was a brown tabby DSH, found at the Texaco in Havana on Hwy 27.  He was not using his left rear leg.  X Rays showed a fracture of his distal tibia/fibula bones.  We named him Oscar.  Oscar was only ¾  a pound when he came to us.  His fracture was treated with a series of splints.  It has healed well.  And now he is a whopping 3 lbs.

Oscar has been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.  He is ready for a new home.

*Update 3/16/25

Oscar is a special needs kitty He just had an echocardiogram and it has been discovered he has a congenital heart problem, pulmonic stenosis. It is unknown if this wll lead to heart problems or a shortened life. He’s very healthy now and ready for a home.
