Wailen is a 10 week old (DOB 8-27-23) male neutered Gray and white Pitbull puppy that was relinquished by his owners to Northwood Animal Hospital. He had been purchased from a breeder. He was brought to Northwood on emergency 10-29-23 because the puppy was vomiting and having diarrhea. Parvo test was negative, but he was riddled with intestinal parasites (hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms and coccidia). Treatment was instituted and they took the puppy home. The owners returned him the next day as they felt the breeder was untruthful with them about the health of the puppy and they did not feel they could continue caring for him long term, so they relinquished him. Wailen has responded very well to medications and is a happy boy now. He is putting on weight. We have started him on vaccines, performed his deworming and neutered him. Now he just needs someone to bring this cutie into their home!
