On November 29, an injured stray black and white male hound mix was brought to Northwood Animal Hospital on emergency.  He and another dog (female, uninjured) were found running on Capital Circle and Woodville Hwy near the flea market.  We estimated his age to be about 8 months old.  He was limping on his left rear leg.  Xrays showed an old fracture of his left distal femur (upper bone in the leg).  He was already bearing weight on the leg pretty well so other than pain meds and rest, no additional treatment was deemed yesterday.

We named him York.  York’s leg has healed quite well and you can’t even tell he had a fracture.  He has been vaccinated, dewormed for hooks and whip worms, neutered and microchipped.  Now he is ready for a new home.
